a little peace of mind
A simple introductory program to completely transform your relationship with anxiety, panic attacks and stress.
“If the only thing people learned was not to be afraid of their experience, that alone would change the world.” – Syd Banks
there is always hope…
Hi, my name’s Nicola Bird and I know what it’s like to walk in your shoes.
For over twenty years I experienced anxiety, panic attacks and stress until one day I stumbled across a simple understanding about what anxiety truly is that transformed it for me completely.
Chances are you’re here on this page because you’ve heard something from me that’s given you hope.
A knowing that you want to be free of living what you know is a limited life. That you’ve seen that long term change is possible.
This is why I created A Little Peace of Mind; a simple seven-day program designed to help you experience a deeper sense of relief and freedom from anxiety and panic attacks.
Let me take you by the hand and walk you through it step-by-step.
What do you get?
It's all going to be OK
Did you even know that? In this first Mini-Masterclass, let’s start with calming you down. You’re in the right place. Wouldn’t that be good to know right now, today?
You’re not broken. You never were. This is the place we’re going to start from.
Every other approach to anxiety focuses on behaviour, symptoms and what to do with your anxious thoughts. Today we talk about what’s there BEFORE any of this even takes place.
Did you even realise you were looking in the wrong place for a solution to this?
The Nature of Thought
We get so consumed by what we think. Those whirring scary thoughts that leave us constantly on edge. Here’s where you’ll get a deeper understanding of what thought really is.
The facts of which somehow seems to make a difference all on their own.
The Busy Mind
All anxiety is an experience of an incredibly busy mind. It’s so noisy in there – but it’s probably become normal to you and you might not realise the link between this and anxiety.
Today we’ll take a look at what it means to live from a quieter mind – what a relief….
“What if I get a panic attack when I go out?”…“What if I can’t cope when I get on the plane?’…“What if I get sick again?”…”How will I cope?”
Today we take a closer look at what’s going on with the ‘what ifs…’ and our attempts to control the future to stay safe.
How Clearly are you Thinking?
When we’re anxious it becomes really hard to tell if we really do have a problem that we need to sort out, or whether we’re just being anxious.
The good news is we have an in-built mechanism to show us when we are thinking clearly and that’s what I’ll teach you about today.
The Sky and the Clouds
In this final Mini-Masterclass we take a look at who you are underneath all that anxious thinking. This is the cornerstone of this whole transformative understanding.
Understanding this allow you to live in a simple, quiet experience of peace of mind far more of the time.
One of the hardest things to deal with in my own experience of anxiety was how alone I felt. I didn’t have anyone that I felt could truly understand my experience.
You’re not alone. We have a private (optional) Facebook Group with people who are all looking to learn more about their mental health.
Simple to Use
We know you’re probably not a techy person so we’ve made the training as easy as possible to listen to on phone, ipad or computer.
Each day you’ll be sent a link to your online portal where all the Mini-Masterclasses are stored for you – so you can access them again and again as long as you like.
“I’ve found this to be a safe space to discuss my issues of anxiety that I’ve never spoken to anyone about before, ever. And not only has the program been helpful from the very start, the lightness and compassion within which it is shared has had a huge impact on me and my understanding and has led to profound insights since beginning this program. I am truly grateful for coming across this program x
Nicola, something is changing! I can’t get my head round this but I’ve driven over 100 miles up the motorway today, overtaking lorries all the way. First one was a bit wobbly, but after that I settled and was fine. I don’t think I’ve done anything other than a bit of letting the thought pass. I’m so happy to have been able to do this today.
